In the framework of the Research Valorization awards 2019 of the prestigious UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), that recognizes the university research groups’ work in the different modes of investigation, our company has received an award for its category;
The best technology-based company or spin-off.
Sensofar is one of the first spin-offs of the UPC and one which has experienced positive growth since its foundation. In conjunction with the CD6, it has made international contributions to the development of 3D profilometry techniques that have given rise two families of international patents, and a portfolio of five high tech products which are a worldwide reference. Our products have been procured by more than 800 customer clients across 25 different countries and our brand continues to grow.
Sensofar has competed from the beginning with companies that have a long tradition within the field of surface metrology (Zygo, Bruker, Olympus, Keyence…) but the technological innovations incorporated in Sensofar’s products have allowed Sensofar to build a prestigious brand which has reached a market share of over 10% becoming a global reference and provider within the field of 3D optical profilers.
Since inception, Sensofar has also received many different awards and recognitions. Among them, the “Photonics Circle of Excellence Award ” granted by the editorial group Laurin Publishing in the United States. Sensofar was the first Spanish company to receive this award by being one of the most innovative global companies in the field of Photonics.
We extend our thanks to the UPC for this recognition!
