Green light for the new headquaters

During this coming October, Sensofar will start with the construction of its new headquarters. Despite some delays, the location is very strategic for both the company and the City of Terrassa. The green light has finally been given.

The new headquarters will be located in the Scientific and Technological Park of Terrassa. The Park, a new strategic investment for the future of the city, and will form a hub of innovation. It will also comprise a part of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) with several technology centers, spin-off projects and highly focused R&D companies related to the fields of optics and photonics, biomedicine, biotechnology and media (audiovisual).

Sensofar’s HQ will increase its floor space from 200 to nearly 800 sqm, and will contain:

   200 sqm of production facilities
   a clean room for assembly of the sensor heads
   vibration-free and temperature-controlled areas
   140 sqm of R&D space (office and labs)

Construction is expected to commence before the end of 2010 in order to be able to move during 2Q/2011.

Sensofar believes that this significant investment will support the growth of the company during the next few years and enable the development of the Asian and US markets and the business cooperation with OEM partners.
